gravy Posted December 21, 2003 Posted December 21, 2003 Just bought and installed the SB Audigy LS Problem: I have a set of powered desktop speakers, and they work fine with it. I also have a subwoofer that was connected to my onboard sound before that worked just fine. It has left and right RCA inputs, so it is connected via a stereo RCA to 1/8" male plug adapter cable. The sub will not work as a sub in any port on any configuration in speaker settings. The only time it makes sound, is when sound is made to be heard through the center channel in 5.1 mode, but of course it is muffled as it is vocals coming through the sub, not sub frequencies. I have emailed their tech people, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. Thanks ***edit*** I figured it out. Found a thread on another board mentioning that you have to enable something called CMSS or something like that to make it work, and it did. LOL I must say I was surprised with this. The quality of the sound is MUCH better, but, I didn't seem to get the performance increase I was hoping for. Figured freeing up the CPU from having to do the sound would help.
