Compxpert Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Ok I obviously have no idea what I'm doing.. as I seem to be encountering a lot of resistance from this system... I can't seem to even get 4.0ghz to be fully stable at even a resasonable voltage and I know this chip can do 4.3 at a reasonable voltage because queens had it at such... So perhaps I need somone to help me find where to start Ocing on this board cus I know it has a lot of potiental but I seem to be having trouble unlocking it... Is it possible my psu is not allowing me stability at reasonable voltages? I have a few extra PSU's here how could I use them to prove or disprove this? So to anyone who uses these DFI boards where do I start?

Especially the GTL REF's, fsb voltage, etc

damian Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 show us some BIOS shots from the ram and voltages if possible

Compxpert Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Got it down to 1.45v now for 4.0... Hopefully I can get it down to 1.37 for 4.0 somehow.. If I can figure that out I should then be able to move on to higher clocks.
Compxpert Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 As an Update I now have some bios pics up: Main OC'in screen: Voltages: I haven't even touched ram timings and their correct anyway so no need to post those.
Compxpert Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Well its 4.0 stable now... I think I might be able to take it higher from there probably with same vcore I hope. How exactly does one figure out what GTL ref should be at a certain clock speed... I had thought I had seen a table chart on clunks forums for GTL ref but I haven't seen it since. I'll help you more with the GTL REFS when I get home later tonight, but from looking at your BIOS settings I think you should up the VTT voltage and NB voltage. Not too much.
