scr4wl Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 the update from 800 to 1066 is a good idea but the 8 gigs is a bit overkill. Maybe 2-2gb sticks of corsair dominator 1066

r3d c0m3t Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I'll also agree, but in turn I'll also add that by getting an 8GB kit you'll essentially be limiting yourself all over again, but with a higher base frequency.

Hi, You won't see much of a performance increase over 800 mhz going to 1066mhz. Honestly its not worth it. Just slightly increase ram voltage and all done. If required just change the ram ratio Edited November 4, 2008 by Xtreme Gamer
rud3bwoy Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 i tried but the ram is holding me back to oc,not looking for a performance increase just to over clock more

LOL dam ur rich well i cant argue with that :thumbs-up: umm i reckon if u go for that ram you should just go 2 the extreme rig with ddr3 ram rated at 1600mhz :thumbs-up: . Buy new mobo if u dont have ddr3 mobo already And then you will have the awsomest rig.
