Help With Q6600 Oc Temp Too High

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just upgraded my system to the current spec below, but having problem with load temp too high during Prime95 stress test & CoreTemp monitoring.

Idle temp was about 50C, but the load is close to 80C. I don't know why or which hardware is causing the problem.

I did notice the hot air from the case came from the graphic card area. I have CPU heatshrink/fan, graphic card has a small fan plus I added another 120mm fan attached to the back of the case. Any help is appreciated.

What voltage are you running on your processor, you might want to try a remount, im thinking you might have a bad mount on the heatsink. Im not sure how good that cooler master is on quads.

What kind of cooling do you have? Stock or after market cooler?

Its in his sig.

I wonder what fan he put on it. Mine came without a fan... And, though it does a fine job on an e4700 I have, I think it would need a lot of air to keep up with any of my Quads.
