Nuclear Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 If you want xtreme cooling, go with a phase-change setup. It'll provide better temps and be a whole lot easier. I love my machII, -42C is a great place to be
Will Smith Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 crap why don't u try this. move into the mountains or up north with tons of snow. run a garden hose outside and through the snow and back
Guest Ballz2TheWallz Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 why not live at the bottum get 200 miles of cable and about 100pumps run it up the montain and get condensation
Iggy Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 I'd go phase change if it wasn't so frickin' expensive. I think I'll get a couple of heater cores and put them in the fridge. It's ebay time!
captor Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Or just a bigger radiator out in the garage..... Check This out!!! Read the whole article, I like this system!! Honey, I'm off to Home Depot! man thats awsome!! wait up!! im coming with you, they got a sale on coper pipe!!!
sVperbeast2k5 Posted December 20, 2003 Posted December 20, 2003 Probably be cheaper to just buy a big bucket/igloo cooler, fill it with icewater, and stick the radiator in there... maybe refill the ice every morning or something... $0 buncha ice from kitchen freezer vs. $600 Phase-change sys... hmmm ...or maybe that's just the budget-modder in me speaking... I like Ballz2TheWallz's idea though: why not live at the bottum get 200 miles of cable and about 100pumps run it up the montain and get condensation

NCC10281982B Posted December 20, 2003 Posted December 20, 2003 It will freeze. True. You could use Isopropyl (acohol) as coolant. I'd just rig a second water block after the Radiator and attach a pelt and heatsink to it. But thats not as cool as running a hose outside. Don't think it would run for long though, and I can't think of how to make it practical.

Xtreme21 Posted December 20, 2003 Posted December 20, 2003 If i had the money i would go with the MACH2 -42c i wish i had those temps... You know also we can just go to Alsaka and make sure you have alot of case fans, and then set your PC outside.. Its fool proof
