GutBust3r Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 All I've ever used was windows (xp) built in disk manager to create and manage my disk partitions. Is this adequate or would you recommend using third party software? If so which program? Thanks.
kendellrt Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 The XP built in disk manager will not repartition or change the partitions of you current drive. If you are just partitioning a new drive that is fine. I have always used Partition Magic.
galla2k4eva Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I prefer GParted. I've had problems with Partition Magic in the past but GParted has always worked.

I've tried a bunch but none work better for me. Free is also nice.

It says i386, so, I'm a little confused. A64 architecture ready?

A64 architecture ready? Linux based. I don't know of any partition manager that does not have to run in Dos or Linux to work. Maybe Acronis can. I don't like Acronis because of all the fooling around to find and set up to use it. Edited September 12, 2008 by Syngensmyth

Maybe they've become less strenuous with the requirements?
