IIxNullxII Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Just getting back into the game here and I need ideas for a new motherboard. I currently have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+, and I'd like the new motherboard to support it for now and then a Phenom 9950 down the road. I'm looking for stability with moderate to high overclocking abilities. I am partial to ASUS, but any of the mojor brands will do so long as it meets the requirements. Any help in this area is most appreciated. Null
dr_bowtie Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Depends on Budget... For a good board that will clock good I would look at the Biostar line with 790GX chipset...it has the 750sb chip as well.... this is the main stream line of chipsets.... the performance line is the 790FX line...Gigabyte has those but are going to cost a little more... I wouldnt use anything other than either of those.... Asus boards have just been too problematic lately...I shy away from those...
