dr_bowtie Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I had gotten this.... this morning when I got on the PC....1st thing that came to mind was I caught internet herpes from one of you dirtbags...lol But a quick search on google got me the same posting from AVG that was posted in the above post...the way i looked at it was a safegaurd not to download a corrupt file and botch my whole PC because of it...It was still protected even though it coucldnt update at the time... It did get going sometime this afternoon with a good update though.... I do agree on Avast as i used it when I was testing Vista as that was the only AV that worked on it...other than talking to you everytime it updates it's good and I may make the switch as well for other reasons... but dont bag on AVG just because it wouldnt update a corrupted update....just think if it did and we had a net full of busted PCs...what would you all say then...?
