nice_shoes Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I need some advice please. Which 2 of the following 3? Crysis Bioshock S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I like FPS, and I only play single-player, never multi-player. (I wanted COD4, but I heard the single player was WAY TOO short) thanks! Compxpert Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Crysis and Bioshok are great IMO. Can't say anything about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tho as I haven't played it.
WhenKittensATK Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Bioshock. Crysis was an okay game. No motion sickness until this one level. My friend really liked STALKER, but the game gives me motion sickness so I could never play more than 15 minutes.
suchuwato Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 STALKER and Bioshock... just to make things simpler Edit: Or you could save some money and get a little culture instead http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stalker-Aleksandr-...y/dp/B000065BZ8
s0rd3z Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) Bioshock is a must, everything about that game is great. Crysis I liked and enjoyed, but I thought COD4 and Bioshock was better. Crysis I thought really lacked in story area, and just wasn't as intense as say COD4. You are correct that COD4 is short unfortunately. As for Stalker, I haven't played that one either tho I plan to at some point, and there is an expansion coming out so there is more gameplay soon to come on that one. (as well as crysis actually, but i'm willing to bet stalker will be better) Stalker was also the number 7 game of the year last year, so I think my final suggestion will be: Bioshock and Stalker Even tho I haven't played stalker Edited August 5, 2008 by s0rd3z
Dan4srt Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I would say bioshock and crysis
capthowdy575 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 bioshock
cchalogamer Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I would rather enjoy COD4's somewhat short SP game than put up with the relative crap that is the Crysis SP. Bioshock should be a must with what you're looking for and S.T.A.L.K.E.R is one hell of a game, though frustrating in many ways due to lack of funding and time constraints. Even so if you like the idea of it and play through it, chances are you'll love it in the end. Even with that said it's hit or miss. I think you should really TRY MP in COD4 though if you get it. It may take some time getting used to, but after the single player campaign you should be fine playing on most servers after a week or so to unlock some new toys. Honestly though the COD4 SP was short. Bit sad, but never the less you got a GREAT SP game out of it.
suedenim Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Bioshock and Stalker. Crysis is just a really pretty FPS and COD4 is too short but I still loved playing them.
DLS2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 COD4 is a great game. I absolutely love it! I do play the MP and I will say the SP was short. However, the SP still had a good story and lots of action. It also gave you a chance to do everything, sniping missions, assault missions, etc. I've played Crysis as well, I still haven't finished the SP campaign, it is pretty long. Though for me there is too much walking. It seems like there is more walking than fighting. Haven't tried the MP on it. Bioshock I only played on XBox and it was great. I assume it's close to the same for PC. I haven't had any experience with STALKER. My final recommendations would be Bioshock and Crysis if you want longer SP campaigns. If you don't mind the length and just want good games, I'd say Bioshock and COD4.
Jhester Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I say Stalker and Bioshock, both are amazing and inventive games. Crysis just makes you sad you spent a lot of money on a computer that can't run it on the highest setting.
InCrYsIs Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Bioshock and Crysis no doubt. I uninstalled Stalker pretty quick. Wasn't my thing. Bioshock is just a sick game.
