ok i got a new HDD its a 120gb SATA segate, when i try to install windows on it windows does not detect it. I tried a few things: 1. partitioned to how i want it 2. made it one big partition 3. deleted the partions to see if windows wanted to do it all. nothing worked :( . I know the HDD is detected and working b/c i can use it now but i want to put my OS on it and take out my current ide drive.

oh and i also tried to take out the current HDD and install windows but it still cant find it on the install :( this one is about to go out b/c i hear it clicking and it smokes sometimes :x

edit - well i just used migrateEasy Deluxe and copied the drive :D , the only problem is that it had to undo my partitions :(
