F@h Problem

Today I looked @ my log 4 GPU2 & it had lots of failed attempts @ sending results. I have successfully sent results before & both my VMWare Linux SMP & Windows Single Clients are sending results. I haven't changed anything in my GPU2 prefs or network config. I have attached my log if it helps. Any ideas?

Also Kakao Stats seems 2 be down. :angry2:

From your log, it looks like a problem with the collection server, you are still being assigned WU's successfully, but http://171.64.122.74:8080 does not seem to be accepting results? Normally when you type a Stanford server address into a browser it returns the server status with an OK I have just tried that IP address and it's a blank page? This is the server I am on at the moment, so you can see what it should return? http://171.64.65.56:8080/

Here is the current Folding@Home server status page http://fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html for info?

I have just done some digging and it appears the nVidea GPU servers are subject to periods of Reject Mode when they get full. The client is proving popular and sometimes they cannot cope. There is some info here http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=43...p;sk=t&sd=a, its a long topic and not sure if this is the case, but it looks like it could be a problem the other end?

EDIT: It is server 171.64.122.74 the folks that know are aware, it should get fixed and your WU will go eventually! They are I believe 8 hours behind us there, so give them time?

Here you go...... concise and to the point ;)

For those of you who are complaining about something not uploading, please stop posting about it.

1) The most important thing is to get the servers to a point that everybody has something to work on. Clearly that's being worked on and according to the news blog we can expect to see more changes later today.

2) If your client has downloaded something to work on, that's good. If you still have WUs that need to be uploaded, they can wait a few more hours/days. (The deadlines are mostly 3 days from when the WU was downloaded.) The client will handle the uploads automatically and you're not going to lose anything. The first priority should be to make sure that at least one server can give everybody a new assignment. Then the rest of the capacity can be devoted to a mixture of uploads and downloads.
