Yeah. AVG hasn't done diddly squat, but has been finding stuff. Any ideas? Recommended better free programs? Opening those applications up manually results in english title bars.

avg is about has good has your going to get when it comes to free virus programs also run ad to make sure of no spy. also for a virus to do things like that you had to install or download something bad

Use a-squared Free malware scanner to get rid of the virus and use Avira AntiVir Personal to stop in from coming back.

They are both free and avira is by far the best antivirus you can get free or paid and i have been using it for a year and a half and i never get viruses anymore although i used to get them with avg and avast.

Avira isn't bad and one of the best free A/V, but it's not better than all the paid products. Kaspersky is universally acknowledged as one of the best (and I'm not biased towards it because I use it, as I use Avast), if not the best at the moment.

 

Maybe you have been downloading too much dodgy pirate software from torrrents? Or I could be just talking crap as usual :wacko:

lol maybe but i tried i tried most of the major ones and i rember seeing a comparison of them and avira came out ahead so thats why i changed in the first place and it's worked perfect for me
