New Gaming System.... Feeback Welcome

As the title notes, I'm trying to put together a new system. It will almost always be just for gaming and I plan to load it up with quite a few of my favorite titles so I'm looking at several 500gb drives or a couple 1TB drives setupin a RAID configuration(this will be new for me as well). I've never done any overclocking, but am interested in that as well so that will come after I get it up and running. I'm sure I'll be back here for advice on that. I think I have it narrowed down to the items listed below. I could really use some advice on all of it, but in particular the memory.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Looks good, though if you are getting a Q6600, you could go for PC2 6400 ram as it is considerably cheaper and you still wont be limited when overclocking (you might be if you were getting one of the 1333mhz FSB chips) 2x 2Gb is defo the way to go. What about the OS? Vista 64bit?

I'll check out the prices for PC2 6400. Iahvent done any research on memory, so appreciate the info. The specs on the board says it has a 1600/1333 FSB btw. As for the operating system, I'm going to stick to Vsit 64 bit. I use it now and like the look, plus I understand it has the support for DX10 for gaming, so I figure that's a plus.

Any thoughts on that PSU? I'm worried it might not be enough, especially if I go with another video card down the line.

Not sure on the PSU, ultra doesnt have a great rep but it might be alright for now, someone else might be albe to help you out more there. The mobo's spec are the maximum rated FSB, you can always go lower than that, or higher if needs be.

Yeah, I'm planning on getting the OCZ Reaper as I've gotten some decent feedback on it from others as well. The only thing I'm not certain on is the PSU, but I bought it awhile back for almost nothing, so I'll give it a shot.

I've got another question that I hope comeone can help out on. I'm getting ready to order everything and am wondering what i should get in terms of additional cooling (fans, etc.)? From what I've read, the case has pretty good cooling, but should I be getting something more for hte CPU?

Thanks for the feedback!

I personally like Thermaltake for power supplies and Kingston for memory. I have had no problems with either.

I used to always stick to Kingston as well, but It's been such a long time since my last build that I was out of touch. It just seems OCZ is used alot and I figured I would give them a shot. As for Ultra, I had never realy heard of them, but I basiclly got the PSU for free with a rebate (about 6 months or so ago) and I couldnt resist grabbing it. Little did I know things had changed quite abit since the old days of hitting the computer show that comes to town and just grabbing the best deals. I really have been researching and I think I still only got about 10% knowledge on what Im buying lol.... I'm relying on many reviews and and opinions/feedback from others like on here!

I bought OCZ for the RIG list in my signature but it died in 2 days. I bought the Kingston and it runs awesome. When I called Gigabyte for support the person I got on the phone said stick with corsair or Kingston and I didn't even bring them up.

the p5q is a good board w/lotso features. i seriously considered the same prior to settling on the rampage. my previous setup q6600on p5kc would boot into vista @ 3.01, but dropped out under load. i had to back it up to 9x313 and it held solid @ 2.842. ok same processor, same hardware on the rampage is maintaining a solid 2.94 and but still crashes @ 9x333 under load...go figure. you have a stronger memory set than i'm currently using (soon to change) so you will have stronger oc's and room for adjustment.
