Guest ElAguila Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Okay I have the money in hand now and I want to make to first move that will allow me to reach crossfireX this summer. I need to replace my mobo. Initially I will be running my Q6600 G0 in it. I am open for feedback. These are all in my price range. I am looking for one that oc's well and can supply proper power to the Q6600 with either minimal vdroop, a setting to control vdroop, or a pencil mod to reduce vdroop. Here are the 5 leading choices: Abit IX38 GT Gigabyte EX38-DS4 DFI DK X38 DFI DK X48 ASUS P5E FoxConn X38A
wevsspot Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I won't discount a single board on your list, only because I don't have personal experience with every one of them. But I can whole heartedly recommend the Gigabtye EX38-DS4 because of my own experience with the X38 version of that board. Mine is solid. Rock solid. I've got a review in progress on the X38 version of the Gigabyte DS4 board. Give it a read and decide for yourself.
