Mrs. Bowtie must have been standing over your shoulder when you posted that. PW'd :)

Nope...she wasnt even here....

you ever notice how when you need something or some answers and you find if you have two skilled people one being a man and one being a woman you usually are apt to get better answer from the woman...

case in point...

I go to the auto parts store alot...everytime I need a part and I have to deal with a skilled woman or a skilled man I get better service and the right part 99% of the time from the woman...

Less so from a man...

In all cases I have seen the woman will check and double check and seem to know more about the subject than the male counterpart...

the man on the other hand will argue he knows more and end up giving you the wrong part on specialty items...

anytime I have to deal with complex stuff I would rather deal with a skilled woman anyday....

It all depends upon who the woman is. It's not Hillary Clinton. She is a total political poser that has no core beliefs other than socialism. She misunderstands all that she sees because of her own self infatuation and arrogance. She will do anything, say anything to get elected. She fully subscribes, as her husband did, that if one lies often enough, frequently enough and audaciously enough, people will stop questioning. Nuff with this rant. Back to the question.

It would take a particularly strong woman, along the lines of Margaret Thatcher to lead this country. Thatcher was not a total solution either, however, she seemed to know where she stood, held her ground and did not back from a decision. Our friends from "across the Pond" can disabuse me of that notion.

We have a new "Cold War" starting. The countries in the Middle East will eventually develop nuclear weapons. It will have to go back to the paradigm of mutually assured self destruction, as during the Cold War with the Soviet Union. Except it's doubtful that the existing Middle Eastern countries can build up a nuclear arsenal as the Soviets did. However, we need government leaders that are clear, decisive and understand well the politics of that area. The current neoconservative point of view has to go to be replaced by a more moderate point of view. We are not the world's policeman. Only Woodrow Wilson, post WWI, corrrectly understood the un-colonization of the world post WWI. It was his minority point of view that local people in their own countries must decide what form of self governance they will have. And the powers that be will have to accept and respect those people's right to self determination. Whether that government is Sharia Law or Western style socialist or democratic governance.

Time for another cup of coffee!

Hillary Clinton scares me. when I look at her, I see someone who will destroy other people who publicly disagree with her. I see someone who takes issues out on staff. I see someone who is dishonest, manipulative, not someone I'd trust running the country.

I voted yes. just for xxxx's sake, not hillary clinton...

I gotta go with the majority here. I like what Doc says. Women are usually more capable then men trained similarly, with the exception of physical strengh, percentage-wize. Why? Because women usually don't have to deal with their own inflated ego's and boastful pride that women can so easily manipulate in males.

Eg; a woman would stop and ask for directions when lost driving before a man would, cuz his pride says "i can do this". Also i agree with the above posters about Billary. I think we've had enough clintons and bushes in office. I want some new blood in there. In congress too. Replace tham all. Oh, and Hillary really turned me off with this "obliterate Iran" rant of hers.

I voted yes she can, and it makes absolutely no difference to the job. They are all or will be as corrupt as the last or next. Look at Margret Thatcher, she had more balls than all of her male predecessor's. The president of any country should be squeaky clean from scandal, I don't care how obnoxious he/she is just as long as they aren't a hypocrite. Gotta lead by example and have lived the life that you preach for others. Nepotism should be the last thing that gets you the job.
