Neural_Overload Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I had a friend tell me that he works a Futureshop and he sees a lot of BenQ monitors come in for repairs and that they need repairing after 1-2 years. Is this true for BenQ monitors or maybe all LCDs?
Kingfisher Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Not sure about BenQ, but as for LCD's in general they have a life of about 50K hours. My Mother uses a 17" sony that is at least 4 years old. Going by actual sales to problems/issues I would say that sometimes dumb luck can play a factor into which brand performs better than others. My friend had me worried because I'm about to drop $400+ on the BenQ G2400W, which I hear is a good monitor.
sunnyeagle Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 I have one (19") that is three years old and not one problem. And I just bought the G2400W monitor and I just love it. All the games (bioshock, crysis, COD4, etc) I have played on it is great.
