jlqrb Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 I switched out a X2 3800 for a Opty 175 the other day, it posted the first try but when I loaded into windows i noticed most of my Icons were not aligned. I didn't have this problem with the 3800 in the same board with the same memory. I have tried many things but I still haven't found the issue. Things I have tried listed below. 1. Updated video drivers 2. checked hard drive for errors. 3. cleared the bios ( long and short clear ) 4. tested for stability with Orthos. 5. Checked all connections. 6. Switched out GPU I would just put the 3800 back in but Orthos was able to run for 12 hours so I don't think that the CPU is the problem. Next thing if no one has a answer is a fresh windows install but I just want to do that as last resort. Thanks for any help.
