red930 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 never throw the keyboard in the dishwasher the keys, once all removed and loose, no problem in the silverware bin in the dishwasher, but avoid putting anything else in the dishwasher... Actually the housing, the keys, anything plastic can go dishwasher, and anyting where there is something non plastic is a hudge nono. keybord wise ofc. So take it apart and lay it down as you take it apart or go pictures. Then take all loose plastic thingy's into the dishwasher While is running whipe with alcohol, no booze but the proper one for cleaning the plastic print thingy clean, you be surprised what commes of of that. Then the most inportant thing, Only when its dry ...put it back together. If it works take her mobile away for some time If not let her keep the mobile and make her get you a new one. AND INPLEMENT FROM NOW ON THIS RULE: NO FOOD OR DRINKS AT THE COMPUTER SETUP EVER! By punishment of death ofc
schoolslave Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Just goes to show the crappy quality of Microsoft keyboards. My HP keyboard is 8 yrs old and I've spilled stuff over it LOTS of times. It still works perfectly, except for the 'A', 'S', and 'W' keys, their not visible anymore.lol.
