Guest Mad Cow Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 What's the maximum voltage that I should put through my X2 4400+? Right now I'm at 2.6GHz@ 1.375v, orthos stable for 1 minute. I'm not doing any gaming right now so it's fine. It's idling at 41/37, both cores respectively using Core Temp 0.95. Each core gets to about 50c at full load. Should I bump up the voltage to 1.4 or lower the HTT? I'm using a AC Freezer 64 pro BTW. Also, I'm only using a 4-pin connector for the 8-pin socket. I bought a molex to 4-pin adaptor on ebay earlier today though, and I'm hoping I can just plug in both without any rewiring or shaving of the male side. postmanfw Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 1.55v is the max really for 24/7 with decent cooling. You need to be staying under 60c pref nearer 50c. Give 1.4v a try Whats the HTT set to just now?
Guest Mad Cow Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Well right now I'm waiting for that Xigmatek 120mm fan cooler, forgot the name because it has way too many random letters and numbers. It's at around 2.55 Ghz with 1.375v, I'll go higher once I replace the crappy stock chipset fan the the CPU HSF. I tried 1.4v and got it to around 2.65 Ghz but it was too hot for my liking. EDIT: AGH stupid paypal, removed my credit card info without telling me so I had to pay using an eCheck through my debit, which it also didn't warn me about. Took a whole week for the payment to clear.
