Hemidare Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Ok i have been trying to encode videos from fraps with the xvid codec. I have been getting this stupid crash all the time. An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'xvidcore'... ...reading address 07BFC000... ...while compressing frame 0 from 076f0020 to 07c00020 using codec "Xvid MPEG-4 Codec" (w32videocodecpack.cpp:689)... ...while running thread "Processing" (thread.cpp:152). What the hell? Anyone else run into this? I have already taken off of my computer any other encoding software and cleaned the registry of those encoders. It used to work just fine. ReelFiles Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Have you tried changing VirtualDub builds? Which one are you using, I've always used VirtualDubMod.
Hemidare Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 It would appear that it is working. Thank you for that recommendation. Kinda wierd cause the original always worked just fine.
Hemidare Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Nah still crashing when i go to open a vid file now not even trying to encode it. Stupid thing. OH well thanks anyways.
ReelFiles Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I think it might be the source file, I would try running it through Gspot, see if there are any apparent issues.
Hemidare Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Nope no apparent issues. I was wondering if it was my OC. Although i can play GOW for hours and no crashing or anything else. Here's the latest message. An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'VirtualDubMod'. And the funny thing is it encoded 1 video just fine. Now when i try another one i get that as soon as i try to open another fraps recorded video.
Hemidare Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Ok as long as i run it inside the winrar archive it works fine.
ReelFiles Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Is the file path extremely long or something? Sounds like a strange issue, maybe VirtualDub can only handle a certain path length??? That's a huge guesstimate on my end.. I would just google the hell out of it and check any video forums/sites. What do you mean it runs fine inside the archive?? Hemidare Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Nah not working when you click on the .exe file inside the winrar anymore either. Not sure why but it is not. File name are EG, SNiper kills and such things like that. Oh well when i setup my new rig i will reinstall everything and everything should be happy! ReelFiles Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 .EXE? I thought you were trying to convert a movie, am I missing something here? Definitely sounds like something is fishy, like you said a clean install is probably a good idea.
Hemidare Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 VirtualDubMod.exe is the file name i click on to run the program. Cause this program dont install itself. And yes i am trying to convert video files with virtualdubmod.
Branjo Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 there is also a version called nandub, maybe its your codec that needs updating/reinstalling or try DivX instead of XviD. I did a few fraps videos from BF2 a year or 2 ago and it worked fine.
