PC-CHIPs m825 v1.2a

Recommended Posts

Pretty sure thats the right mobo stuff. the pll is ics 94228. socket A mobo. only adjustability is cas latency 2 or 3 lol. nothing else. rock solid stable motherboard, i dont care if it's had a bad rep, mine works :D, been working for years.

i can overclock it using software, but i wish it had some bios overclockability. i'm a nab when it comes to bios mods though. this is my old system, i burnt out my 1700 palomino, and just got an 1800 thoroughbred i got running to 1850 stock vcore.

it shows cpu info, just no adjustability. maybe theres something that can be unlocked or something hidden, i dont know.

bios is ami

any help is greaattly appreciated. i know it's considered a p.o.s. mobo, but it works perfectly fine, and i dont have money to upgrade to a better socket a one. all the caps are in fine shape as well, and i may add some more heatsinks to the mobo if i get help/find a hotspot.

update:

just did the voltage pin-mod. boosted it up to 1.808 apparently. i was aiming for 1.7 :P using ocside's babelfish translated pages of babel. will see how the oc goes. hopefully 166 stable!

----

update2:

tried 166. auto-crashed. will try better ram. lost my ddr stick so resorted to sdr :D heh i'll throw in a tracer. might top out at 160. havent run it for stability yet, figuring out max/if 166 is possible.

nope. must be chipset or cpu. via VT8375(cpuz) + VT8233 chipset. i doubt its the chipset, but voltage didnt add a single mhz. temps are 30C, at 166 the pci frequency would be 33 again... right..?

last chip maxed out around here too. all the chips on the mobo are cold.

... pin-modded multi down to 9. also fsb to 166. looks like mobo doesnt sens it :/ booted up at 133x9 ~1200 :P. will try soft 166 again. ...failure. bad bin maybe? will try 170 and see if the chipset is being dumb

multi set to 13.5, running at 2200 speeds;1800mhz 133 fsb lol
