Please Help, I can not set SATA mode in DFI motherboard

Hello, I have an DFI motherboard call: Lanparty UT nF4 Ultra-D

and a HDD Maxtor 6Y120M0

 

When I check in Device manager, the result is:

and In Everest 4.00.795 :

That mean my HDD can not run in window XP SP2 by SATA mode but the ATA-133 mode

 

Some body please help show me how to set this HDD with the right SATA mode in XP please ?

did you install the chipset drivers?(that question mark is for "NVIDIA Network Bus Enumerator")

aslo where is the sata hard drive hooked to, there are 2 sets of 4 sata connectors, they are a little different.

 

I notice that you have the Raid drivers installed(Not sure if those are needed for non raid)

 

Click on "NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller", then click on "primary channel" or "secondary channel" and see whats listed for transfer mode

The board has something called legacy SATA support.

 

What happens is it makes the drive show up as an IDE drive.

By doing this you do not have to press F6 during the windows installation to load the SATA drivers. Instead the BIOS makes in Plug and play, which results in it being shown as an IDE drive.

 

So it is running as a SATA drive hence the SCSI and RAID controller in device manager.
