BOLTSINK2303 Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Hello again. I have a nf4 sli dr motherboard. I was wondering if the BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC could run in my motherboard. Tried researching it to no avail. Does anyone know if this is possible? I'd like to run it SLI if I could. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. radodrill Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Certainly not an issue running an 8800 GTX; that board should be able to handle them in SLI as well. It's only some of the PCI-e 2.0 ( e.g. G92 based 8800 GT 512 and 8800 GTS 512) cards that don't always play nice on older motherboards. Are the 9600GT's the same way?
radodrill Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Not sure about the 9600. The majority of issues I've read about is on PCI-e 1.0 motherboards, there seems to be more compatibility for PCI-e 2.0 cards on PCI-e 1.1 motherboards.
