What kind of CD's / DVD's do you burn with?

Recommended Posts

Most modern writers seem to be very compatible with most makes of media nowdays, so i just buy Datawrite DVD's and CD's. In the UK they are cheap, and i hav'nt had a toaster from one in years.

Bought 100 Maxell x16 DVD-r's from ebay for $17 shipped, don't know if maxell make them or just brand them, I was expecting a few coasters but I just passed the 50 mark and not a one. quite happy. Also have used up 100 Sony x8 too and I did get a few that wouldn't read but that was a while ago with an old x4 speed DVD burner.

The only compatibility issues I see are with DL media in stand-alone players. Verbatim is the only brand I've found that works in most all players when DL is required.

nice nice, lol i said it before ill say it again, try out Taiyo Yuden :)

When I'm asked what to buy, I always suggest either Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. I have a friend I play volleyball with, and all he uses is Taiyo Yuden. The reason I always buy Verbatim is because they're great discs and I can get the inkjet printables for a good price at the MicroCenter near me. To buy Taiyo Yuden I would have to get them on line, and after shipping they end up costing more.
