Sound Issues Please Help

Recommended Posts

Hey guys/gals,

(Hope this is the correct room)

I hear that you guys are the ones to ask a question. Any help you can give would be great! So here it is....... I was playing some games and went out to get lunch and came back to play some more and no sound. Have tired two different sound cards and two different head sets with no luck. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. I play a song as a test and i do not hear a thing, the software for both cards shows uot put but i hear nothing at all. When I test the microphone it picks it up and the sound card that came with my mother board (ASUS P5N32-E SLI) even detects what plug the head set is in and where to put it if it is not in the right plug. I do not know what could have happened with in a few hours while my computer was off. Please help guys/gals. I have ben messing with this for some time now and can not play AA witch sucks(well can but no sound). Thanks ahead of time.

am using an HDAI connection with razer HP-1 to AC-1 and a direct plug(two one pink one black plug) on a cheap logitech(bought just to trouble shoot the problem) which hooks to audio card that came with mother board. I am also thinking it maybe a windows issue, but not too sure. Will keep messing with it tonight if not figured out I will reformat and start over(back everything up, so quick to do at least as quick as it can be) Thanks for the input and if anyone has any more ideas I am more than open to hear them. HooaH!!!

Hello,

If you check the control panel > Sounds and Audio devices.

Go to the Audio tab.

What has it got for your sould playback field? (default device)

And obvisously make sure all the volumes are up.
