Is it just me, or is this a totally whacked place to put a reservoir in a W/C rig?

 

Check the Res:

 

It seems like there could be a spectacular incident if a leak ever developed in that reservoir!

The biggest problem with the res placement is that it's not the last component before the pump inlet, which makes it harder to fill/bleed and increases the chances of running the pump dry.

That's the only thing I see wrong as well, maybe that it isn't the highest point in the loop, but he could just tilt his case for that.

Those MicroRes's are pretty sturdy, I've dropped mine about 3 times and I have yet to see it leak in over 1/2yr of usage.

 

EDIT: And if it ever did leak, it would just trickle down by the barbs, probably no other place it could develop a leak.

Reservoir is the white/beige thing. I like having one, most people prefer a simple fill tank. I don't know HOW the person in the original poster's picture can handle having their fill tank RIGHT THERE where the video card is... I mean, how the f*** do they get the video card out? LOL

Not being a W/C expert, it just looked like a strange place for a reservoir to me, plus leak potential!
