What is this quote from?

"Your weapons are no match for ours! People of Mars, surrender!"

"Um, this isn't Mars. This is Earth."

"Earth? Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?"

"Yes."

[long pause] "Friend!"

Whatever it is from, I want to read it/watch it/******* it.

I'm guessing it's from a comic strip but I really have no idea.

I came up empty also....need more info...:)

Damn, and here I was thinking you guys actually knew it was from Mork.

Except Mork was from Ork wasn't he?

*sigh*

I just did a Google search for "Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?" and found nothing but "unknown" references.

Yeah, I happened to catch that on a website and was curious to where it came from. I did a bunch of searches but couldn't find anything.

the way the line sounds it has to be a comedy clip of some sort....

the only thing that comes to mind is that Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver space movie from a couple years back? other than that you got me man....

I googled aa bunch of lines, partial lines, from your original 4 line quote, and I found it repeated several times, but everyone says its "unknown" or with nothing afterward. Of course, several meaning 2-3 pages of results from Google, and only half of those working.

  • 2 weeks later...

It was from the show "Captain Simian And The Space Monkeys" (1996)

I also like the lines:

Shao Lin: Captain, the fuel supply is at critical.

Captain Simian: What? How did that happen?

Shao Lin: If I recall, your words were, 'You see the fuel supply as half-empty, I see it as half-full.'

Captain Simian: That was a JOKE!
