CrAsHnBuRnXp Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Does the P35 boards support PCIe 2.0? I am interested in getting a P35 DFI LT board if this is the case. If not, I will be forced to get an x38 DFI board (which doesnt hurt my feelings but will hurt my wallet and patience as the only place that seems to sell it is motherboardpro.com and the shipping is ludicrous). Thanks in advance.

CrAsHnBuRnXp Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Thanks for the help. Its much appreciated. I will now place the order for a P35 board. Now does the DFI board I will be ordering require a BIOS update to support them? radodrill Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 From what I can tell the 45nm CPUs are supported out of the box; but you should update the BIOS as they've made quite a few updates for various other things.
soundx98 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Just got the same board and I can tell you there is a new "Official Bios" date 12/24/07. I do Plan on flashing to it once I get my E8400.

Ive already placed the order and I had way more than enough to overnight it so it should be here monday or tuesday. Wednesday at the latest. CrAsHnBuRnXp Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Why can I not find out the recommended overclocking RAM guide for this particular motherboard? I know for a fact that my RAM is listed in the x38 board and the P35 UT version of the board I just bought. Anyone enlighten me? CrAsHnBuRnXp Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 What I cant seem to understand is all the crap that is floating about that specifies that P35 does support it and other sources specify that it does. Pisses me off that no one has the definitive answer. Now im back to thinking about the x38 because of this. Damn the lack of availability of that board!
