Guest RandallTank Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 What i did I installed my sound card (X-Fi) and disabled onboard sound in the bios. Whiles i was in the bios i say HPET Support and HPET Mode, and i changed the mode to 64bit. Effects and after the restart i get Microsoft visual C++ runtime library errors for steam and my printer (lexmark x4550). Also get a device monitor has stopped working popup. nothing online works except internet explorer. What i have done since uninstalled the sound card put HPET back to 32bit reenabled the onboard sound
uneedav8 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Boot up in safe mode if you have to and do a system roll back to a time before the settings were changed in the BIOS.
