radodrill Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Those symptoms are commonly due to a dead or underpowered PSU
MACarter02 Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 could also be a short. rebuild outside the case, like on a cardboard box.
red930 Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Make sure your power connectors from PSU to motherboard are properly connected. Have you checked if you have connected the 6PIN PCI-E for the video card? That PSU you're using is good enough, unless just like RAD has stated above it could be defected. When was the last time you opened your case and installed a component? How long ago are we talking about here when you had it working fine? I hope this helps.... radodrill Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 could also be a short. rebuild outside the case, like on a cardboard box. Very true, could also be a grounding issue; a minimal build outside the case would answer that, if it works it was shorted otherwise an issue with the PSU.
