So i was watching the IGN game of the year and noticed this

as one of the few who did play this game...a lot....i felt the need to tell you all to get of your asses and start playing......yea right. like thats gonna work.

 

EU3 is like no strategy game ive played before. its mostly like civilization, but then in real time. you can pick any country in existance at a certain time and play. the goal? its all up to you. you can conquer the world (no, you cant, but in theory you could....though your neigboors will show some mild disagreement), become a trading party, form nations....pretty much anything you want. its hard to describe this game. its not like most RTS where you build a base and then train troops, nothing like that. you can only build 2 types of troops, and some boats. but it has a strategic depth that i havent found in any game so far. and this is all on a world-wide scale. since i know most people wont read all of it if i make a 10 page story about how the game works i will not even bother. all i can say is, if you like RTS but always felt like the diplomacy options should be more then peace and war, and want to play in a real world that could have existed, try this game. give it a few days to explore its depth, and then tell me if you like it. becouse for me this is THE BEST game of the year. yea, im serieus. it looks like ., but its great.
