red930 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Cheers to everyone still helping out on the "old" boards and the site owner for keeping this section archived, I had a no boot incident recently and came here first to confirm my own suspicions. After using the search function and reading a few threads on similar probs(1 led lit, a long beep w/no video) I dropped my graphics card down to the lower slot and viola.....success worked like a charm. What struck me as funny was that I even remembered giving someone else the exact same advice about 2-3 yrs ago. Now to see if I can get that top slot working again, sound card is way to close to let the gfx card breathe.

Guest Blooz1 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 There's too much knowledge there to let it just "die"! Nice to see ya, Playah! Happy Holidays!
Sharp Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I haven't seen you here for a while. Happy x-mas, if you don't do x-mas happy new year. And if you do both, both
red930 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 I haven't upgraded the sig in a while, got to get a hold of Carl when he's less busy, replaced the single core w/a 165 that does 2.7 at stock vcore, can't push further without changing cooling, sold the GTX and got a GTO. This sweet old machine does everything I need to do,plays COD4 decent enough to not make me think about upgrading yet. I've gotten back into fishing and it's taken priority over all hobbys, spent more on fishing in the last year than ever did on computers. I still lurk around here, trying to keep up on the new tech stuff, it's great to see all the old familiar faces and like I said b4, cheers to the stalwarts that keep on giving so much here. I have to say I am jealous. This season I got on the water a total of two times. as the saying goes.......I would rather be fishing.
