slick2500 Posted December 19, 2007 yeah always put your email in like bobjohnstonatemaildotcom then they cant grab it, but then you have to worry about those very mischievous people that sign you up for all the transvestite midget bondage porn. jaz Posted December 19, 2007 I Knew that about posting peoples email addy's, but I was pretty excited about his response and forgot. Plus i didn't think the post would show up in this open forum. I thought it was exclusive. Lesson re-learned. Sorry.
AnUnknownSource Posted December 20, 2007 ... always put your email in like bobjohnstonatemaildotcom then they cant grab it not true, most e-mail grabbing 'bots' actually will look for anywhere 'at' and 'dot' appear within say 50 letters of each other and put together an e-mail address... best thing to do would be to just not post it at all and have people pm you for the address... Guest RandallTank Posted December 24, 2007 you are cached on that site for the most part. Try a different browser that has never been there or a different computer. The site is painfully slow on all 4 I've used here. Too slow for my tastes honestly. I'd want to kill a mofo waiting for that (like you all did when DFI-Street outgrew the server and it took up to 90 seconds to a page to even begin loading) yea it got pretty bad, i lost you guys for a while when DFI street died
ReelFiles Posted December 24, 2007 Yeah I would say so, considering we signed up around the same time, and I have no clue who you are, lol.
Guest RandallTank Posted December 24, 2007 well i came here after i got recommended a DFI board by a friend, learned how to OC then stopped coming here. I have recently been strongly considering a new computer so i have been trying to relearn a few things and learn about the new hardware. I was initially just going for better performance from gaming but i have come to enjoy all aspects of being a PC enthusiast. Being a college student my budget has been severely limited so i have also avoided this site due to temptation, because if i had the money i would buy a new comp once a week and just trick them out. I graduated the 17th and have an interview jan 7th, i got a lot of bills but newegg offers no payments for a while. Im getting ready to jump on it if i get the job. Clay Posted December 28, 2007 Hehe... Asus forums? I remember that place . I got about 100 posts over there mostly trying to tell new builders that they can't reuse thermal tape. And trying to tell the guy with 7998 posts that the guy with the a7n8x-e del and utt-ch5 can't put his mems on a divider because that board doesn't have any.. And it probably wouldn't help much even if it did..(Max vdimm 2.8. 2.9 with modded bios) Don't get me too wrong. There are/were some very knowledgible people over there. But they kinda' seemed to be spread abit thin. I remember "Trats" would stop by and would build a custom bios on request. (That was cool... LOL) Humm.... A user operated ASUS forum? That's probably a really good thing! Heh... But I think I gave up on asus's along time ago. Maybe someday I'll look into them again. (But for now, I kinda" doubt it)
