Asus-Street? finally a good Asus support site

Recommended Posts

This is a site made by asus members, for asus owners, seeing as how pathetic Asus web site-tek support is. The sites administrator is named Arlie, and he seems to have an answer for everything Asus. He's already been a big help to me a couple times. with my new asus board that has a really filled up bios, campared to the relatively empty one they used to have.

hrmmm...maybe we should move him over here to the street eh?

the guy sounds like Angry_Games and what Angry did for DFI!

ps your link is busted...

edit: pss...jesus what a slow-butt site =(

they definitely need to come over this way as I'd be aggravated to the point of murder if I had to wait around for their pages to load =(

It loaded right up for me.

how can it load anything when you have the address as http://http//asustech.15.forumer.com/index.php?

you must have some new super-mega-cool browser that understands http://http// addresses...!

edit pssss: nope, tried from 4 different comps now and that site loads slower than a porno page with 10,000 thumbnails =(

yea their site is pretty slow.

I'll be sure to recommend a peak at this site to people I know with ASUS boards... and a lot of time on their hands! zing!

I made a mistake in not deleting the http:// that was already in the "link" link. It's fixed now. Did i break a rule or something by posting these links? Just trying to be helpful and point poeple in the right direction for help with asus boards.

I bought mine on your recommendation Travis, and really glad i did, but the bios has so many more options i don't know what 1/2 of them are, and what they do. This guy Arlie does sound like what you did for us. And I'm grateful you did. If i did, break any rules, I apoligise and you can delete those posts.

I just tested both links, Sometimes they are a bit slower than the link i have in my msn "favorites" list, and other times it loads right up...maybe it's busy with a lot of members using it? I don't know.

But even if it is a little slow, it's still a lot beter than the non existant "tek"supprt and "3 or 4 seasoned members" in the official forums, if and when you can catch one online there. But most of the time the link works fine for me.

if you broke a rule do you think I'd copy the thread and sticky both of them?

maybe someone should ask this guy if he wants to be part of the Street as he'd have access to a LOT more users as well as a very established community (just a thought)

sorry, i misunderstood you. Thank you for sticky-ing them :) I could ask him...he's a family man and he might kinda have his hands full with the forum as is... but if you'd like, I will ask him. He knows me.

Edit; I've been timing the loading times for both links and they both load at max 5 seconds. I will go and ask him if he's like to make a presence here, like the ocz reps.

you are cached on that site for the most part. Try a different browser that has never been there or a different computer. The site is painfully slow on all 4 I've used here. Too slow for my tastes honestly. I'd want to kill a mofo waiting for that (like you all did when DFI-Street outgrew the server and it took up to 90 seconds to a page to even begin loading)
