momoceio Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 It looks like NVidia is releasing their next batch of cards in Feb. 2 g92 GPUs on one card I think is what I heard. No idea of pricing though. I wouldn't even consider any of the cards you posted. The ONLY nVidia cards to consider at this moment (IMO) are the 8800GT 512 and the 8800GTS 512 (just came out) 8800GT 512 is between 8800gts 640 and 8800GTX 8800GTS 512 is almost on par with the 8800 Ultra on almost all tests I've seen Both cards are priced under $400...good luck finding one though
marcopolo Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 i don't mean to hijack this thread, but what are the power requirements of the new G92's. I remember when I was buying my 8800 I was boderline with the GTX in terms of power requirement so i decided to save the cash, not buy another PSU and just go for the GTS 320. Do the new cards avoid this problem?(i can''t find specs on 12v current requirement) Marco.

Guest Modulok Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 ok, thanks for the help. I found the 8800GT for $270 and the 8800GTS g92 for $360 (minus $20 rebate) for those who have used the step up program: which would be better (money wise)...get the GT vs G92, then upgrade to a 9 series card. How much is estimated I would get for each in a trade in?
momoceio Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I believe you get the full MSRP value towards your trade in
