CcL Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Hey guys I have a dfi ultra-d. The iceberq4 died on me so I just swap an evercool in... I may have glazed the mobo a lil when the pliers slip... Nothing was wrong after I booted the pc up other than the weird chattering noise the speakers made on startup. The PC worked over a mth till now it is still working. Today I tried getting the onboard sound to work coz I wanted to try playing a 5.1movie but, wrong sounds were coming out through the channels so I tried to enter bios to see if anything could be done. I plugged in a regular keyboard (instead of the BT one I use) and realise no power is going to the keyboard! When i finally got the BT keyboard to work during startup, i press DEL to enter bios and it took a long time to enter and the screen loaded part by part... In Bios I can't move anything, like its frozen. And worst of all the speaker kept emiting the chattering noise throughout the ordeal. Did I scratched something I shouldn't have? The PC works find otherwise... no bluescreen nothing... Please HELP ME Thanks!
tasr Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 ... I may have glazed the mobo a lil when the pliers slip... This is not good. Try reseating all of the components then do a long CMOS clear like this and follow it exactly.
