Imsochobo Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Hi, the nf4 expert have survived for about 3 years, and it still boots, it still works, with a catch, The temp recordings are cpu 35 C pwm 66 C after a little while and chipset is at 40 c. My system is following: Antec Sonata III /W 500 watts antec PSU Asus X850 XT PE Amd X2 4400+ 110 Watt 2MB cache Toledo core. 2GB OCZ pc4000 Platinium edition memory Maxtor 200 GB Ide drive. Pioneer slotin DVD room Full mobo name: Dfi Lanparty-UT NF4 Sli-DR Expert. I also hear strange noises, something i can remember comming from a x800 xl card i had, from the PSU area if i should call it that, where the Condensators, resistors, triac or whatever that part have, the area where the input power was handled, voltage regulators etc. That area gets Awfully hot on the mobo, The small Mosfet heatsinks get really hot, and never stop getting hotter. Any solutions to this issue, or should i just buy a new mobo cpu and mem for my gf ?
Sharp Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Hello, PWM at 66DC is to hot, do you have any fans over that area?
AMDZen Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Excuse my ignorance but what is PWM?
tasr Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 This is a very good thread by soundx98; Temps Too High? on keeping Pulse-Width Modulation Integrated Circuit (PWMIC) (PWM same thing) and the MOSFET cool. AMDZen, check out the PWMIC link.
