ebdoradz Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I just got a PS3 60Gb and i've pass the last 5 hour trying to make that "thing" connnect to the internet, i had to disable every form of security i had in my router to get it to work. but once i have enable WPA again it complete refuse to connect i've read alot of thread about this on other forum but no-one have proven a stable way to fix it im using a Old Dlink DI-514 wireless router( b only)
uneedav8 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Mine works good with WEP but I have never tried WPA. Might try updating the firmware for the Dlink if you have not already.

Using the lastest firmware available i dont have any idea why its not working, i might try a new router to see if it works but i will have to buy one :S

uneedav8 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I would go wired if you can run the cable nice and clean. I hate wireless unless its for laptop mobility.

Ours connects to our Belkin router with no issues though.
ReelFiles Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I used to have the 514, it's a POS in my opinion, but I don't know about PS3 connectivity.

Angry_Games Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 get yourself a newer router. I'm like others, I use SSID and MAC filtering with 64-bit WEP keys (WPA I think is too much security on a non-critical network).
