radodrill Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 If possible, I'd suggest eliminating the combination of T-s and 90-s for the FP-res; IMHO you'd be better off using a y-line on the downward leg.

Thanks radodrill I never liked the 90-s. My thought was less hose would be seen. I like your idea.....something like this (the FP-res will be hard to fit but i won't need it as much here)
mknwatt Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Here's another test setup loop. Cleaned up the 90-s and new fill line (no res) Any thoughts?
taowulf Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Here's another test setup loop. Cleaned up the 90-s and new fill line (no res) Any thoughts? That's a nice clean loop you got there. I think we have a winner.
mknwatt Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 More Progress: I removed the hd cage, sanded the parts and primed. Waited 24 hours sanded and primed again. Another 24 hours later here's what I got. Next I will be painting the case black (flat or semi), followed by a clear coat.
momoceio Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 clear coat on a flat black? Not sure how that would look...
mknwatt Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I thinking the same, lol. I should have said black semi gloss with a clear coat or flat black (no clear coat).
mknwatt Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 More Progress: Here's the 2nd coat of flat black 2hrs dry time. The parts hanging from wire allows to cover all sides. (I sanded between coats and applied the 2nd coat after 24hrs of drying.) I'm happy so far with the results. Painting a case has been an experience. mknwatt Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 More Progress: The paint is dry and I reinstalled the hd cage. Here are few pics with some hardware installed. I’ve painted the pci slot covers and redid the 5 ¼” locks in flat black. How do you like the uv green fans? I want to tear down and do the case transfer. I think everything else can be done with it in the case. Any thoughts?
momoceio Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Thats looking great man...I've just about got my flat black painting done. It was a classy lady to get all the little nooks and cranny's painted but it's going to look great. Can't wait to see some more progress! mknwatt Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Thanks momoceio Painting is harder than it looks. I seen catkicker use this sleeving (fans too) and really liked the look. I ordered a few extras I sleeved the D5 pump, power-reset switches and leds.
