slick2500 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Trust me, they did you a favor if they forgot to give it to you. Oh so true, Norton is about the most worthless pile of crap Antivirus on the market. I wish they wouldn't have bought out Sygate. Guest ElAguila Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 So if norton is a pos what av is recommended?
wevsspot Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Kaspersky gets high votes. Norton is crap. Ditch it ASAP. I also like Grisoft's AVG, but I'm in the minority.
momoceio Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Kaspersky, NOD32, AVG, ClamWin are a few good ones. I use AVG for most setups because it's free and works great.
kitfit1 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Just the one word needed in these situations, Kaspersky . But i thought in the end, it might need more than one
Angry_Games Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Kaspersky/NOD32 are the ONLY av's I will use (there's a big rant in the Off Topic section where I describe how my network got an infection and I tried EVERY available anti-virus and the ONLY two that caught the problem were Kaspersky and NOD32. Everything else is crap in my opinion (I've been a loyal Norton Corp/Enterprise user for 7 years before this). We've got links to Kaspersky (should be able to still get 25% off too) and NOD32 in our Storefront (click the big banner in my sig)
alexfort93 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I've got Kaspersky and I love it, never going back to anything else. I also put AVG on other machines since it is free, and it's good.
shatteredsteel Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 AVG and AVAST here... Free, working,...what else could I want?
Yukon Trooper Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I use AntiVir here with Outpost Firewall + NAT hardware firewall. AntiVir is great, light and free to boot.
Bubbaxm2 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I have Norton corporate on one of my computers and it works ten times better than the junk they sell to consumers.
