RMA is for something that is defective if I'm not mistaken...

Not sure the manufacturer will "accept" your card if it's not defective...either way, they sure as hell won't give you another model....they will fix whatever you sent them or give you a new one of the same model

use the heat to cold theory ;) mount a small cooler, start comp, it will get hot, so just be carefull to not burn it if its possible.

Take it somewhere cold fast for 10-15 minutes, back again, plug it into the comp.

It was what happened to me and my friends with GF3 and GF4, hot cards, small coolers, lans at winter, voila we had ourself a xxxxed videocard, xxxx the weekend is xxxxed >_<.

Btw, hiper group have realized that this is a issue, so even if you unplug the power cord, the fan still run, to cool it down as much as possible in a slow way.

Btw, I live in norway, so might be why you guys never have heard of it.
