red930 Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 THE TEN MALIEST FIREARMS by Guest Author, Crazy Einar This was a hard piece to write, because guns by definition are manly, except for Berettas, gold-plated TEC9s, .25 caliber pistols or anything made by the French. To simplify things, I have limited it to modern cartridge firearms a man might, can, and should collect and shoot. There are certainly other manly weapons, and you may have a different list. As long as the list contains nothing French, gold-plated, .25 or with pearl grips (which Patton correctly observed are the mark of a New Orleans pimp), it is a good list. link to list... http://arthurshall.com/x_2007_manly_firearms.shtml

shatteredsteel Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 The most Male out of them all I'd guess... I prefer my .444 marlin lever action rifle (or "cannon" as the guys I hunt with call it.) Mostly because the deer has to be close enough that I could throw a rock at it in order for my rifle to hit it, but if I do get a shot that deer is down one hit, no extra shots/knifing needed. mknwatt Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 .577 Tyrannosaurus Rex makes this guy look like a little boy! Would make for a nice varmint rifle.
dr_bowtie Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I can say there is NOTHING like the feeling of having something in your hands capable of doing so much destruction... I have shot guns that have been smooth as silk (9mm ozi') and some that have been a heavy hitting workout.... but I still have alot of fun with them...It's nice to clean them up real good and go Clay Pigeon shooting (oe skeet shooting).... there has been times I have taken the kids out and show them what they do and how to properly use them and how NOT to get hurt by one.... Good way to have fun breaking stuff the right way...
Coors Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I've actually been thinking about getting #3 on the list. Want to get the Marine Magnum model if I can find one cheap enough.

HITandRUN Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I would say this is pretty manly for me! Somebody in the family is a retired USM sniper and got this puppy at home! I shut it once and I can tell you! If you shot this rifle once in your life you feel like a king and like nothing can happen to you! He He! Crazy! red930 Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I know everyone loves the .50 bmg. However...take a look at the .408 CheyTac. It's a bullet designed by people with long range in mind. http://www.cheytac.com/ http://www.cheyennetactical.com/index2.htm
