MBM5 for Opteron/Vista?

Recommended Posts

Upgrading my rig with an Opteron 170 and loading Vista as the OS.

Is there a build compatible for both? If not, any other system monitoring software out there that will monitor my cpu? Thanks!

I have MBM under Vista on my 2nd DFI Ultra-D rig with AMD 3800+.

It monitors my cpu & motherbord temp & voltages, not my HDD temps.

Everytime i boot vista i get a error message 'the driver didn't load', which i click away.

It works under vista, not so good as under XP but it works.

I don't think there will be ever a 100% vista compatible version.

The workaround for that is having MBM run as administrator.

Go to Program Files/Motherboard Monitor 5/MBM5.exe, and right click on it.

Select properties, and at the bottom, check "Run this program as administrator".

If you disabled UAC, it will start normally.

I have UAC enabled, so I get a notice in the tray that it was blocked, so I enable it after booting.
