ShadeZeRO Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Hey everyone! It's car shopping time for me ...which is good and bad . Good, in the sense I can get a car lol Bad, in the sense I can't pick between two cars = So I was wondering, which would you pick between these two? And why? 2008 Infiniti G37-S Coupe (MT, maybe Auto) 2007/08 BMW 335i Coupe (MT, maybe Auto) I want to keep it as close to $40k as I can. I can go as high as mid 40's though. here is my debate, the G37 comes with a ton of features for the same/less price then the 335i the BMW, is a BMW, you get a good sense of prestige, and it's twin turbo. I also love the body styling. G37: Credit to Freshalloy for the image 335i: Credit to inepiccars for the image
General Septem Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Between those two, I'd definitely go for the G37, especially if it has more features than the BMW. I wouldn't ever buy a car just because "it's a BMW". If I had $40,000 to spend on a car, though, I'd honestly get a '67 Camaro, a Harley, and a leather jacket. Guest drteming Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 It depends on your priorities. If you want to go at the limit and wring out every ounce a car has in terms of performance, go with the Bimmer. If you go at 70% and wants a bunch of cool stuff, go with the Infiniti. If you want an automatic transmission, get a Lexus:D
Darkorb Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 wow thats a hard one i love beamers, and thats my 2nd fav right there (other than M5), 0.60mph 5.3 seconds and 300 HP the redesigned g37 also looks pretty damn good. 330HP 0-60 5.5 seconds. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/03/20/new-yor...ad-of-schedule/ Honestly, i would go test drive both of them, and see which performance/features you like better. momoceio Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I always see people spurt out performance numbers...when do you need to go 0-60 in 5 seconds or 300hp? lol
killagorilla187 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Those G37's handle like a dream! Taking corners at high speeds is ridiculous. Go for the Infinity!
Darkorb Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 well momoceio, if u wana look at it that way, why do u need a performance coupe? why not just get a kia?
Coors Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Speaking of Kias I saw one today with fancy aftermarket wheels and an aftermarket exhaust.......then he drove it in first until it probably redlined just to make it sound loud lol......who the hell would bother doing that to a Kia. My stock Lancer would smoke it and it's just an ES. @Shadezero: Its kinda hard to recommend one over the other.....because it really comes down to what you like best. Like me i'd do what General Septum said he'd do....except instead of a Camero I'd get like a 66-67 Nova, not a Harley though...I already got my bike, and then of course a leather jacket because the chicks dig'em lol

ShadeZeRO Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I think i'll go test drive them both, and see what is going to happen. I don't need top performance, I just want something that looks damn good, works good, and is built for the driver. As, I drive a lot. So, Driver comfort is a must for me. AnUnknownSource Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 The 335i beats the G37 hands down for me... The Japanese make the best engines in the world, but German cars are usually much more comfortable and sturdy cars... and last longer!
