yetterben Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 how does one wire up a tec and regulate it for use with wc
radodrill Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 When the TEC is connected to a power supply one side gets hot and the other cold. You'd most likely want to power the TEC with a dedicated PSU. You'll also need a coldplate (2-3mm thick piece of copper). Also be sure that the radiator can dissipate the load provided by the CPU and TEC as well as any other components in the WC loop. parts order for mounting to the CPU would be IHS--Coldplate--TEC--Waterblock
ReelFiles Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I believe these links would answer your question on power regulation and wiring a bit better than what I could tell you: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=98336 http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes.cfm/appnote_number/1757
