One core way hotter...

Recommended Posts

OK, I'm looking into new cooling options.

My AS5 is a few years old, but still has the same consistency (hasn't dried out any). Is this OK or do I need to pony up for new stuff?

Not sure. I know I have had a tube for as long as a year and never noticed any ill effects.

Are you interested in going with water cooling at all? I did, and I would never go back to air. It isn't near as dangerous as a lot of people think, including myself before I did it. The reduction in noise and the superb temps are well worth the extra bucks to me. You can do it a lot cheaper than I did.

Dont be suprised if the BT doesnt change anything..

I had the same problem except the diff in my core temps was 15c+ under load..

I went out and threw a brand new TT120 on it hopeing it would help.. No dice..

Your chip has some sort of internal flaw(like mine an thousands of others)

Your best bet would be to lap the IHS or just completely remove it..

Or you can just live with it like i am..
