volt mod- pins of a cpu

Does this work? i tired this on a skt-462 board and couldnt get it to work. but i was interested cause my friend cant raise his voltage via bios so i was wondering if the pin-mods work or not. ocinsider lists pin guides to all the amd sockets...

The link you supplied is for a socket 754 processor. I can verify that the socket-462 pinmods on that site do work. I used them on my AOpen board to raise the vcore to 1.85v.

my socket 462 was by pcchips so no wonder it didnt work. and i was mainly wondering about 754. i've since learned more in-depth about that shtuff now though

 

 

I was looking at my opty 165 naked, i know the transistors on it are in a different position from a dual-core athlon, but isnt there any mods for them as well? i have some 'open' holes where some could go, for instance. I doubt it though, as a pic of a 170 looked exactly the same as my 165.. drat :/

modded the pcchips. volt mod successful, multimod succseful. now if only the board was 333 capable. damn via 266 chipset

any mod i can do to the chipset to add more voltage/stability, maybe force 'er to do 333?:angel:
