Antec fans worth buying?

I have a CM WaveMaster case. Here is a link:

On the top of the case is a module with USB 2.0, !394, microphone and earphone ports/jacks. It is the first picture on the left of the webpage. It can be replaced with a 80mm case fan that blows air directly onto the CPU. The only fans that I can purchase locally from Staples are Antec, 3 speed. I don't particularly want to order a fan because the shipping is more than the price of the fan.

Are Antec fans any good? Frankly, I have never used any Antec products.

I had a WaveMaster for a couple of years.

I can tell you I noticed very little temperature difference with the 80mm in the top either pulling air out of pushing air in.

Or for that matter with thee USB connectors in.

Very nicely built case but the little holes in front can't pull enough air in the front.

The air holes are less than 25% of the area of those two 80mm fans inside.

Antec fans aren't bad at all, especially if they are easy to get and you can save on shipping.

Thanks for the advice, soundx98. I have read reviews that have said the same thing. This is the reason for my question. I trust those of you here on the Street more than on the other forums. However, I still have decent temps with the settings that I have in my sig.

I'll just leave things as they are for now.

I have myself five of the Antec 120mm with them L/M/H switch to control the fan. One is on the Nautilus rad, I have it set to pull the air off of the rad and it works great even on low fan setting. The rest is on my other two cases and they work great for me. I also have a couple of Panaflo 120 and I compared them with the Antecs on my 2x120mm heater core pulling air instead of pushing through. They performed the same in my setup and the advantage of the Antec in my rig is that I can set the fans to Low when just gaming and high when benching.

I got one of those wavemasters too, I wouldn't bother with that 80mm blowhole. It'll probably just make much more noise than it's worth.

You'll get more of a cooling boost if you bore out the tiny holes in the door. I did that to one row going down, it was pretty easy. I didn't even have a proper drill bit, I used the screw tip of a drywall gun. I would have done all the holes if I had a drill, but I left most of my stuff in NY when I moved here.
