Ok folks. I've deleted the last "AMD or Intel" thread due to some controversy that could start. I don't want that. I want this to be a fun poll. So I ask you all who voted to please vote again. If your choice is neutral, please select "Double Agent". Thanks.

The million dollar question: Which chip manufacturer do you favor the most and why?

You deleted a perfectly good thread...................

Agreed; it would have been better to just delete the poll itself, rather than the entire thread.

I'm neutral; but was Intel. Before I didn't really know much about AMD (when I built my sig-rig); since I've built an AMD rig for my dad (better prices for AMD at that time). Now I got with the best performer @ a given price point (unless I'm just upgrading the CPU, but usually it's the whole rig anyway).

threads can be remade

I choose whatever is the "best bang for the buck"

i've always liked Intel

i've always like AMD (except that piece of . K6- crap)

same as ATI vs Nvidia. I like 'em both.

in my secret heart of hearts though I am always rooting for AMD. I love AMD the most but I'm not afraid to use whatever is best bang for the buck!

Ah yes, the K6 and K6-2 chips. Now that's old school. How many of the members here remember those days?

Angry, from the looks of your secret confession, you must be the one they call Yoda. And I bet you still have one of those K6 chips lying around.:P

Certainly do, and even a fair bit before then :) The only rig i've ever owned i would'nt clock was a "Fairlight CMI", it simply was'nt an option :D

Looks like i could vote firmly on the fence this time :D

I'll use whatever I feel like playing with at the time... I prefer AMD if its a budget rig, but for my servers they're pretty much intel owned.

I'll take my million dollars now...
