otherjohn Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Hi all, I had earlier screwed up my sata by trying to reinstall windows in the "c" partition. My sata HDs were partitioned in a c and d drive. I finally installed windows on an IDE drive and now would like to see if I could recover my contents of the D drive. Its not showing up under drives, just the reformated c. Any suggestions for software or ways to fix this?

Westmassguy Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 I've used Ontrack Get Data Back successfully in the past. There's also Easy Recovery Professional which works well too.
uneedav8 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 The D: partition should still be in tact since you reinstalled windows in the C: partition. Since the D: partition is not showing up under my computer.....I would try to go under disk management and see if the partition shows up there, if so.....just create a drive letter to have it appear under my computer.
